Best Protein & Snack Bars at the Grocery Store

Hey there SxS Nutrition Squad!

On the blog today I am sharing some of my favorite protein and snack bars I like to buy at the grocery store. There are SO many bars on shelves it can be hard trying to figure out which one is healthiest, taste good, and is gonna also help fill us up. The good thing is that I've arleady done the dirty (and tasty) work for you guys by compiling a list of bars that I like buying on a regular basis.

I like buying protein and snack bars cause they're easy, I don't have time to make them, easy and fast nutrition, and good ways for me too get in good fats, protein, and calories (especially in peak training periods)! Plus I can take them pretty much anywhre and are like portable dessert! Whole 30-friendly bars are also listed down below for all the Whole 30 peeps :)

My list is chosen based off of:

  1. Simple ingredients and if I can pronounce them
  2. Less than 300 calories
  3. Protein- I try to shoot for 4g or more
  4. Carbs- 15g to 30s (or in that general area)
  5. and of course TASTE! if it doesn't taste I good, I don't want it.

If you are trying to lose weight and are watching your calories and carbohydrate intake I would recommend sticking to bars 200 calories. Again, I don't mind having one bar that is close to 300 calories some times during the week especially during higher mileage training periods where I am trying to maintain a healthy weight and stay energized.

Have you tried any of these? Which ones are you favorite?
